Headcorn Aerodrome - Ashford, Kent ,TN27 9HX

Our ‘home’ base so we fly here most weekends and selected weekdays between April - October.

By Road: Headcorn Aerodrome is located south of Headcorn Village, just off the A274. From Headcorn, follow the A274 south towards Tenterden. As you leave the village the road bends to the right and you will cross over a bridge. Follow the road for approximately one mile and take the first road on the left. The Aerodrome car park is the second entrance on the left. Park either in the main car park or continue to the field adjacent to the runway and park by the fence, to gain a spectacular view of the arriving and departing aircraft.

By Train: Headcorn Train Station have frequent trains from London Charing Cross which take approximately 1hr. It is only 1.6miles from the aerodrome; however due to the country roads the aerodrome cannot be reached via foot.

Taxi: MTC Taxis (01622 890003) is located at Headcorn Station and can take you to headcorn Aerodrome in 5 minutes.

By Plane: If you have a private pilots licence you can arrange to land directly at the airfield ensuring you confirm with the airfield in advance.

By Road: From London / The East:

  • Take the M3 Southwest towards Southampton

  • Merge onto the A303 westbound (towards Andover & Exeter)

  • Stay on the A303 past Wincanton

  • Take the A357 south to Henstrdige towards Stalbridge

  • After about a mile, turn left onto Camp Road (sign posted for Henstridge Airfield)

By Train: The nearest stations are Templecombe (c.4 miles / 10 minute taxi) or Sherborne (c.7 miles / 15 minute taxi).

If you are coming from London, take a South Western Railway service from London Waterloo to Templecombe (closer) or Sherborne.

If you are coming. from Exeter, take a train towards London Waterloo and alight at either station.

Wickenby Aerodrome - Langworth, Lincoln, LN3 5AX 

2025 Dates: 27th June - 29th June & 8th august - 10th August

By Road: From London / The South

  • Take the A1(M) north towards Peterborough

  • Exit onto the A46 at Newark-On-Trent, heading towrad Lincol

  • Stay on the A46 past Lincol, following sign for Market Rasen

  • At the A158 junction (near Nettleham), turn right onto the A158 towards Wragby

  • After about 6miles, turn left onto B1399 towards Holton cum Beckering

  • Follow signs for Wickenby Aerodrome, which is on the The Airfield Road just off the B1399

By Train: Market Rasen (.6miles / 10-15minutes) or Lincoln (c.12miles / 20-25minutes)

If you are coming from London, take a train from London Kings Cross to Lincoln (Direct c.2hrs)

If you are coming from other areas take a train to Lincoln or Market Rasen via Nottinghamshire or Sheffield

Henstridge Aerodrome - Henstridge Marsh, Templecombe, BA8 0TN

 
 

Sywell Aerodrome - Hall Farm, Sywell, Northampton, NN6 0BN

2025 Dates: 4th & 5th July & 22nd & 23rd August

By Road: Sywell Aerodrome is located on the edge of Sywell village in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside. It is situated four miles from Wellingborough and ten miles from the centre of Northampton. It is easily accessible by road, less than one mile from the A43 with fast access to the A45, M1 and A14. You can park in the Aerodrome main car park.

By Train: Regular rail services are available from Wellingborough station located just five miles away with standard journey times to and from London St Pancreas of 50 minutes. Northampton station is just ten miles away and also provides regular rail services to and from London Euston in under 60 minutes. Local taxi services are available from both railway stations.

By Plane: Sywell Aerodrome (Northampton) is strictly PPR for all aircraft. Please click on the PPR page for more information of how to request PPR.
